Prim doll " Nurse Gertie "

Hello every one, This is the Nurse doll I was talking about in my last post, Her name is Nurse Gertie and she is carrying her rolls of bandages to the sick and wounded. Gerties tag reads "Nurses are angels in disguise" she has cheese cloth wings, rusty bell eyes, and is holding 2 rolls of bandages. Her right arm is positionable to a certain point ( it meets her wing in the back) . She is wearing an Osnaburg muslin skirt that has been stained and her top is painted and cinnamon incrusted along with the rest of her body. The thing I love most about Gertie is her wrinkles , she has a pinched mouth and nose and these great "character lines" coming down from the corners of her mouth, I must admit these were not intentional but they turned out to be my favorite part of her. Gertie is about 15" tall. Part of the proceeds from her auction will go to earthquake relief in Haiti, so she will be listed tomorrow for 3 days only, because I am sure that they need relief now , not later.
